For many decades, Haiti has been the country with the lowest healthcare access in the Western hemisphere. Deadly natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes and floods, coupled with political unrest have hindered efforts to make healthcare accessible to all Haitians, especially low-income families living in rural areas. In this context, a group of health professionals residing in both the U.S. and Haiti joined forces to create the Haiti Health Professionals’ Network( HHPN).
This organization aims to help the most at-risk communities gain access to healthcare treatment and education for disease prevention in a country where many people – mostly children – children, living in rural areas end up dying from preventable and curable diseases. Our commitment to contributing to expand healthcare access to impoverished communities in Haiti is rooted in the belief that healthy communities are central to socioeconomic progress, human happiness and well-being.
Haiti Healthcare Professionals Network's vision is to provide access to basic and quality health care to Haiti's under-served communities from Urban areas to rural villages.
Haiti Health Professionals Network's mission is to deliver compassionate, comprehensive, community healthcare throughout Haiti by helping Haitian People to improve their health through education resources, mentorship and apprenticeship.
HHPN believes in empowering our Haitian brothers and sisters for a healthier Haiti. Our core values are created from the word EMPOWER and rooted in the following inspirational words of great men and women.
"Empowering, cultivating , and ultimately serving those who follow you will unlock massive potential within your organization, allowing you to solve for problems in real time."Stanley A. McChrystal

"Patriotism is love of country. But you can't love your country without loving your countrymen and countrywomen. We don't always have to agree. But, we must empower each other, we must find the common ground, we must build bridges across our differences to pursue the common good."Cory Booker
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" Martin Luther King Jr.
"We have dared to be free. Let us dare to be so by ourselves and for ourselves". Jean- Jacques Dessalines

Haiti Health Professional's Networks aims to assist low-income communities in the US and Haiti in their quest for access to heath care. In the US we prioritize Heal Fair while our main focus in Haiti is to provide its rural communities with access to basic health care through medical mission trips on a regular basis. In both Haiti and the US, the primary focus of our organization is preventative healthcare education. We believe it is the best approach for the communities to to have access to health care.
